Privacy Policy

Overview

PocketSongbook is designed to work offline and keep your song content under your control. The app does not require an account and does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal data.

Information the app uses

PocketSongbook works with songs and Songbook JSON files that you create or explicitly select through Apple's system interfaces. Their contents are processed locally on your device and are not uploaded by the app.

Language, appearance, and other app preferences are stored locally to preserve your settings.

Import and export

You control when files enter or leave the app. You can import a JSON file selected through the iOS Files interface or iCloud Drive and export Songbooks or setlists as JSON or PDF. Exported files are handled by the destination and file provider you choose through Apple's system interfaces, subject to that provider's terms and privacy practices.

Data collection and tracking

• No user account or login
• No analytics or advertising
• No tracking or profiling
• No network service used by the app
• No sale or sharing of personal data

Retention and deletion

Local content remains on your device until you delete or replace it, or remove the app, subject to normal iOS and file-provider behavior. You can delete songs in the app, replace the active Songbook, delete exported files from their chosen destination, or uninstall the app.

This website

This website does not use cookies, browser storage, analytics, advertising, contact forms, or third-party embedded content. It is hosted with GitHub Pages. GitHub states that visitors' IP addresses are logged and stored for security purposes. That technical processing is governed by the GitHub General Privacy Statement.

Changes to this policy

This policy will be updated if PocketSongbook's data practices change. The revised text and effective date will be published on this page.

If you contact support by email, the developer receives the email address and the information you choose to include. This information is used only to respond to your request and is not collected automatically by the app. Do not send Songbook files unless support explains why they are needed and how they will be handled.
